The Orcas Animal Protection Society does not receive County financial support, therefore any gift, no matter the size, will be put to good use. You'll be pleased to know that 95 cents of every dollar raised goes to help the animals. Adoption fees do not begin to cover the costs we incur for each animal sheltered. If you wish to help us, please consider one of the ways of giving below. You may also check out our "Volunteer" page for other important ways you can help.
Ways of Giving: Make a Gift & Make a Difference
Note: The Orcas Animal ProtectionSociety is designated by the IRS as a fully qualified 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Memorial or Honorary Gift

Do you wish to honor someone who cares about animals for his or her birthday or a special occasion? Do you have a special companion animal you would like to honor or memorialize? Simply indicate this when you send in your contribution and we'll send a special acknowledgement. Please include the name of the person or animal your gift honors or memorializes, as well as the name and address of the person we should notify of your gift.

Our Endowment Fund

Orcas APS's Endowment Fund is held at the Orcas Island Community Foundation (OICF) and was established to ensure the financial stability of Orcas APS for generations to come. Money designated for our Endowment is invested wisely by independent money managers identified by OICF to preserve principal safely and then to maximize income and capital growth. Our hope is to grow the Endowment Fund to a level so that income from the Endowment covers 50% of our operating expenses. A contribution to our Endowment Fund will have a long-term impact on the happiness of our islands' unwanted dogs and cats.
