Zapper (then named Bart) came from the Lopez APS. Bart was a year old black lab with a smidge of Staffordshire terrier. He had been chained up his entire life, as shown by marks on his neck, and he hated being left alone. His luck had to change sometime, and it did with the arrival of the Zier family -- Jennifer, Marty, and their four kids. (click for story)
