Liz Waterman & Lydia
One and a half years had gone by before my visit to the animal shelter to meet Lydia. She had a beautiful black face and blue eyes. Lydia was timid at first, due to her history of being chased by dogs. Since I adopted her, she’s calmed down and is more friendly, although she is still a one-person cat. She is devoted to me and sits on my lap most of the day.
As a three-year-old cat, she will probably outlive me. But that’s okay, she’s a great companion. I enjoy watching Lydia play with her one and only toy—a broken rubber band. She plays with it for hours! - Liz Waterman
