Our Mission
To promote, through education and direct action,
 | The increased placement of homeless, unwanted animals into quality homes;

 | The reduction of pet overpopulation;
|
 | The elimination of animal suffering;
|
 | The improvement of animal health;
|
 | Greater appreciation of human/animal interactions. |
Services Provided
 | Accepting stray animals or those relinquished by an owner;
|
 | Offering cats and dogs for adoption;
|
 | Training youth and adult volunteers for animal care tasks;
|
 | Scanning of found animals for microchip identification;
|
 | Feral cat testing for FIV and Feline Leukemia, as well as spaying or neutering before returning them to their home territory;
|
 | Offering lower cost spays and neuters. |
Services Not Provided
 | Accepting any wild animals; |
 | Accepting gravely injured or obviously sick stray animals; |
 | Boarding owned animals; |
 | Euthanizing animals, except if in the best interest of the animal. |
Donations
 | The Orcas Animal Protection Society does not receive any County financial support, therefore any gift, no matter the size, will be put to good use. |
 | If you wish to help us, please send your tax deductible
contributions to the address below or consider a donation or bequest to
the Orcas A.P.S. Endowment Fund.
This can be done by sending donations
to the Orcas A.P.S. with instructions to benefit the Endowment Fund. |
