After your request is reviewed, you will be contacted to schedule an appointment. 

If your pet is experiencing an emergency, contact a full-service veterinary clinic or emergency hospital immediately. Please do not wait for a call back from Orcas APS. You may also call us at (360)376-6777 to ask if our veterinarian is available to help. Because we are a limited clinic, we may not be able to assist with every emergency.

Service Guidelines

- Owners must be income eligible for this service.

- In an emergency situation, pets can be seen regardless of income qualifications.

- Pet behavior and/or health concerns must be disclosed prior to appointment date. Pets who cannot safely be treated in our clinic may be referred to another clinic.

- Rabies vaccinations are required by Washington State law.

- We are unable to offer surgeries to pets with a medical risk, brachycephalic breeds with obstructive airways, pets showing aggression, or pets over 100 lbs.

- Owners with compromised immune systems should disclose this information to the clinic team to discuss vaccine risks.

Financial Assistance

Orcas APS often has an Angel Fund available to provide emergency assistance. Ability to fund a need is dependent on funding at the time of the request. Please call the shelter at (360)376-6777 to discuss available resources.
