Puppy Mill Dogs Update The Orcas APS was pleased to assist SPOT (Saving Pets One at a Time) with the recent puppy mill rescue in Skagit Valley. We brought 6 wonderful little adult dogs to Orcas, gave them lots of loving care and found wonderful homes for all 6. When our space permits, we also help our shelter partners overwhelmed by lack of space by bringing adoptable dogs to Orcas Island. Spay/Neuter Assistance Available The Orcas Animal Protection Society is offering special low cost spaying/neutering for dogs and cats of Orcas Island residents needing a subsidized rate. This program is particularly beneficial for those residents who may not otherwise be able to afford to spay/neuter their cats and dogs and will be in effect as long as funds are available. There will be a minimal fee of $10 for cats and $20 for dogs. Call for more information.

We Can Help There's a place in your community where the hungry are fed, the homeless are sheltered, and the abandoned are comforted. It's the Orcas Animal Shelter, where care is provided for our homeless animals. The Orcas Animal Shelter offers many other services for pets and their owners. To do all this, we rely on the support of people like you. Whether you're here to just spend some time with our furry friends, find a new pet, or you have concerns about animal issues, we can help both the two and the four-legged members of our Orcas community.
